What we have not done.
A quarterly statement that, as of the date below, baki.sh has not been compelled by any government to do certain things.
As of 2026-04-30, baki.sh attests that:
- We have not received any National Security Letter, FISA order, gag order, or equivalent from any government.
- We have not been compelled to add backdoors, weaken our encryption, or hand over user data outside of standard, transparent legal process.
- We have not been instructed to remove this canary statement.

If this page silently disappears, or if any of the affirmations above are removed in a future quarter, that's the signal. We can't tell you we received a gag order; we can stop saying we haven't. People who care will notice. We borrowed this practice from Proton, Cloudflare, and the EFF's recommendations.
